Winged Warrior Car Signing

Each year, just before the annual Winged Warrior event, founder Dr. Kevin Butterfield and crew head downtown to Riley Hospital for Children to have them decorate one of the race cars. The kids come out to the front entrance of Riley and waiting for them this year was a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, fully decked out and ready for race day.  It’s good witnessing this event, because it really reminds me of what this event is really about.  It was great to see the smiles on the youngster’s faces as they, probably for the only time in their lives, are able to write and draw on a perfectly good automobile.  Check out the photos below.

Also, to any parents/guardians who might read this, two things: If you do not want this picture online, just email me and I will take it down.  If you see a photo that you want a copy of, also email me with your shipping information, and I will send you a disc with all of the photos of your child.  It’s the least I can do.
