Pictage

I’m proud to announce that all new print/album orders going forward will be done via the website Pictage.  With the extra work I’ve been accumulating, Pictage makes it easier for me to streamline my workflow, and it also means you should be able to receive album designs and such much quicker.  Through Pictage, I am also able to offer more options for you, such as albums from Leather Craftsmen and Sequoia, as well as the Zookbinders albums I’ve already been offering.  What’s even better is that you will be able to receive prompt, personal notification whenever your gallery is available for viewing, and you will have the choice of when to release it to the rest of your wedding guests.

For those of you who already have a wedding gallery posted online through the current Exposure Manager portal, you can continue to use that to order prints and such.  This only applies to weddings and other events going forward.

I’m quite excited to be able to work with Pictage, and hopefully this will create a much more efficient, pleasant experience for you all. :)

After wrapping up shooting with Jordan, I realized this would be a good time to do a quick lighting diagram for you guys, and show you all how I set up some of my shots from that afternoon/evening.  Unlike my first diagram post, this one will cover a few shots with a few more setup/before-after photos to better clarify what I’m working with.  Click through to see all the juicy details.

Jordan Hebbe

As many of you know, today was the day Indianapolis turned into a Maytag oven, and was set to over 100F.  Crazy as it is, however, us photographers are passionate about what we do, and when model Jordan Hebbe got a hold of me last evening asking if I still wanted to work through the heat, I had only one answer.  Oh he** yeah!  So, late afternoon today, Jordan, her mother (as escort), my assistant Greg, and I ventured out through the wilderness of Shelbyville and created one amazing photo shoot through the searing summer heat.  Much thanks obviously to Jordan for being a wonderful model and putting up with my usual antics.  Also, thank you to Mrs. Hebbe for being one of the “cool moms” as well as picking up our dinner tab!  And last but not least, thanks to Greg Scharton for doing all the dirty work setting up heavy lights, batteries, stands, etc…all outside in the crazy heat!  Enjoy the photos, and please let me know what you think!

The Indy Channel A-List

Jon Brewer Photography is in the running for Channel 6‘s A-List as “Best Photographer.”  I’m not much of a pushy salesman, but if you believe that I, in fact, am the best photog in the city, two things will happen.  I will do a happy dance (and maybe have a sale), and I my head will probably become bigger than my house.  So please vote if you can.  I would really appreciate it, and I’m sure we’d all like to see me do the happy dance!  Just click the link below.

I love doing engagement sessions, and I’m glad I was able to do one yesterday because it’s been a while.  During these shoots, I get to know the couple, find out their personality, and overall it’s just a very laid-back, fun, and entertaining session.  Yesterday’s was a bit different however…you see, I’ve known both Graham and his fiancée, Monica, since what feels like the beginning of time.  This means I went into yesterday’s shoot already knowing their personalities (very fun!) and a little more laid back than usual.  These photos were taken both in Graham’s awesome backyard and at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (as you can see below).
