Professor Schmenner
It’s been great so far working at the Kelley School doing their photography for them. Today and tomorrow, I have the privilege of redoing some of the staff portraits for the faculty here. For them, it’s good to get a refresh of some possibly outdated portraits, and for me, it’s a good dip into more commercial portraiture, as well as being able to meet & greet with some of the business school staff.
I arrived here at about 9am this morning, and after some tinkering around, here’s my setup.
Squeezed in
As you can see, there isn’t a whole lot of room to play with, but with all of these photos being just head and shoulder shots, it’s really all the room I need. I tried adding a third light, but it didn’t really give me the look I wanted, so I took it out. I think that white screen on the left was giving me a little fill on the left, which worked out to my advantage. Hooray for natural light modifiers! Haha.
What’s also great about doing these photos is that post work is ridiculously easy. Just a wee bit of sharpening/cropping/etc, and copy the settings across to the other images, and bam, I’m done.
